Lise Bjorne Linnert has her education from Norway and USA. Her art is ranging from drawing, installation, video and sound, to performance, needlework and photo. Part of her practice is related to issues of political and social concerns, creating works to connect, engage and spread awareness. Desconocida Unknown Ukjent is an ongoing community art project, initiated in 2006. The project was instigated in response to the critical situation in Ciudad Juarez, a city on the border of USA and Mexico where 1200 women since 1993 are known to have been murdered and hundreds have disappeared, suspected kidnapped to trafficking. 3700 individuals have so far participated in the project through globally arranged workshops.
